Stat requirements for procs from gear.

I have a level 13 on world server wearing some endless dawn gear. The procs from the gear is nothing like the description said. Looking into this I heard there were stat requirements for gear. I could not seem to find anything about this. Is there a link out there containing this information?

I just got the legion, filled it up, Legion Special = 3,861,936

I made the boost, refreshed the game Legion Special = 3,861,936 still.

Still don't know if BotW3 was fixed either since no response to this thread.

Buff Display stacking

the PVP buffs you get for ranking up in Colosseum, duel, and invasion do not stack on top of each other in the display, i have multiple buffs for "bonus duel tickets" and others, it would be simpler to look through your buff display if the buffs you have duplicates of stack on to eachother either by adding to the numbers, like if you have 5 bonus duel tickets x10, all 5 could stack on one slot and the description would say bonus duel tickets per day x50, or they could stack on eachother but keep the description the same and just add a x5 at the top right of the buff icon to let you know you own 5 of that buff.

the other buffs could be handled the same way, if you had 5 "attack/defense increase" the description could read "increases attack and defense by 100" or the other way the icon could show a x5 at the top of the icon and leave the description as "increases attack and defense by 20" then people could just do the math themselves because by the multiplier at the top of the icon theyd know how many of the buff they had.

Make quests drop something valuable.

Note: Please don't move this post, just trying to see if I could let my friends have a trustworthy link, the google cache doesn't seems to be safe... It would be nice if that cache could stay too but it's not what I can control anyway... For several reasons I don't have this on mobile forums, and coz this is specific for the MOBILE VERSION of DotD, I have it here in "Off topic".

(version 2016.05.09: With a little hope... modified from my post on mobile forums cached on April 18 2016, the day when too much happened at once that I've decided I wouldn't be back till [a statement that is properly inappropriate here but the meaning is similar to "it starts raining pc"]... trying to be more constructive, added more details and updated with something I've sent to the support dude... but if this is against the rules here just delete it. I don't play anymore and I doubt I have a voice here despite everything I've done for DawnMo.)



Dear Schnzy, Mimzy, Wally, other 5pg devs, and the DawnMo community,


Pardon me for my poor grammar, but I guess you should be able to understand this 8 pages of docx.

I have read some recent posts on mobile forums and found that maybe I should repost this. If it is too long for you, just don't read it.

Summary of the current state of DawnMo

2016. We had an April SotG full of hope. We have new contents for free players and paid players, for new players and old players. We have a kind reminder on checking spore gear craft, showing an attempt of better communication from devs. We have some amazing new players and awesome returning players, refreshing the old decaying community. We have a new CM and more interactions on forums. With the addition of the new insanely huge guild raids, more people would be aware of the benefits of good guilds.

This is a brief history of DawnMo in the “broken game perspective”, neglecting bugs, just about game contents. Forgive me about the negative here:


  • Good game till the release of portal. After a few months the nerf came, followed by a slightly unnerf.
  • Post-portal Era: Game broken since perception update, giants + HSB was an unsuccessful attempt to rebalance.

I'm afraid to say that with the messages delivered by recent events/incidents - it wasnt all about the lag that we lost half the player base. it was mainly failure of balancing. old players' effort got passed in a night(perc update)(also known as buying stat). raid loot depends highly on rng instead of dmg(cwg). the change of raiding nature with HSB. bsi drop per level no longer matters. poorly handled banning mania. unplayable lag at constant time weekly. and even worse the way of handling Sun closure... - the old community is losing hope.

The rate of DawnMo losing players is faster than before. I am aware that promotion have been done to get more new players with the “normal Horgrak index” and new names igwc, but currently it all depends on the burnt out community to keep them. Role of the game is less and less significant. This is not enough. It would benefit both developers and the community if the game itself is able to keep the players, both new and long-term.


The harm has already been done and it is irreversible. Does it mean we can only sit there and watch the sunset? No. As schnzy mentioned in a thread that I cannot find atm, the game has changed a lot, thus, for long term, something new and interesting should be add, and the game must have a new direction. And in my opinion, while the team is finding the way for DawnMo, fixing some existing issues and be more careful about future release would already help a lot. Learn from the mistakes.

Concerns

Recently we rarely have a patch or a war event without major bugs. Would be nice if it’s possible to kill those n'lux(s) before release.

And the new contents needs to be more balanced. No more dd ww shadow plz (huge raid with super high FS but super low max tier), nor raids with hybrid style.

Also keep the new players playing. As always. Don't rely too much on the old community. it is just a game for us.

With the current community size there are also a few issues of those insanely big raids.

Big hitters are burning out with high fs raids after another. Currently the community relies on 2 players, everybody who have been here long enough knows who they are. The rate of stam raids turnover significantly decreased when another of the strongest players stepped away from the game(early March). Raids in RoD/cta already dying slow. For many people there is no point of doing over fs if they can't hit all raids. It's just squeezing everything out of the strong hitters. If we are losing any of that 2 players, the community will suffer. It is not a good sign that the community relies so much on 2 people, instead of teamwork of the whole community.

Extremely huge stam raids even with crazily amazing loot are unable to benefit all, and would burn the big hitters out. Idk about others, so I take myself as an example of a long term but weak player. I’m a free player, playing on mobile since June 10 2014, with only a few perms and don't even have 8 starbolt gears(set 8: scaling proc when crit) yet. 400b takes me around 2 levels if it's a qwil with op magics. Idk what it’s like for others, but I miss the days of farming multiple raids in a single level. If we were still having the player base of 2013 or even 2014, there wouldn't be much a problem. But now we only have 4500, approx. from the number of 5 days wr hitters +20%. Not the 20000 of 2013.

For guilds, huge guild raids benefits big guilds but hurting smaller ones. Although we have a cool community that would send our team out to help, those who were tired of saving raids in their old guild would jump. Keep soloing raids for other guilds would also burn the helpers out.

And about Sporeform gear craft:
Nice to have a 72% free qwil/aquatic mount in craft. This equipment set is great as a free version of divers set. However, it's worth 32k sp with a full set+gen. Tho it's not even 100atk for me and I'm using in legion which is nice, it's a lot for most who'd find them useful. I believe not for all, but for many of those who can neglect the sp loss of crafting the set it's just more or less another fodder.
Maybe next time: separate gear craft and stat craft if a collection worth that much sp? Or rare drops like hybrid gears (gears, not the raid. Hybrid was poorly designed, a one-time-only raid that highly depends on over-hitters - spore is bad for current community but at least it has more magic slots and 500 hitters) Or was it intended to be like that, as a challenge?

(May 9th edition) After the loot update and magic slot fix of sporeforms:
Good to have this insanely huge raid worth more stat so it's more fair to the raid savers. However, the previous version of tiers that os>fs seems to be better, as spore is still insanely huge for the community (400b fs 5T max with 500 hitters allowed. Player base around 4k. Overhit required.) More ppl doing over FS helps the raid savers.
Health eating wr not the best idea for starters too. Those who have no need to care about the hp loss are old players with enough gold stash or hp, or health regain premiums. It’s the new comers that would find it an issue. WR used to be good for new players with the on hit drops, but they cannot stand it now.

Small conclusion: New stuff are amazing. But the community needs a break with smaller new contents. Bad blood and Doppelganger were good examples of good balanced raids

Improve the “official” communication
  • Ask players to post about any improvements/fix being made, on forums under a specific thread. Maybe the one who list the most in a month get a small prize

    • have more ppl look at the positive side of the game. Was a shame that patch notes and content updates cannot show everything that devs have done secretly.

  • Collect questions from chats (not only a single chat with limited room size) and answer all at once on forums weekly.
  • Monthly reply to all(selected) suggestions(possible or not, on the list, fixing soon etc)
The only thing that can be improved without a patch.

Showing buff timer.
Suggested by someone in game wc, forgot to credit on when my mobile forum account posted this.

So we have no need to click use of a buff before seeing the msg "this buff still active"
Add a “contact support” button in game
  • Maybe just like the ToS window, but link to the how to contact support thread instead of ToS.
Make the life of igwc helpers easier. They’re volunteering to keep people playing.

Atm always need to explain "how to contact support" in game wc.
(currently: char page > green cog > tos > dotd logo > support
Or
bottom bar > more > forum > support...)
Also need to keep reminding people to make sure they get a ticket number.
In game wc:
i) turn on this chat and chat alert by default with issues like a wr not pub nor linked with poster, many players didn't know about it.

without typing anything, wc seems to be 'dead' instead of 'off by default'.changing this may help new players and public guilds members/players that don't have info from 3rd party app nor read forum...to know more at least. easier for them to get correct info and more support.
ii) Mods

a) A more organized mod system like web or CQ

b) Introduce more mods who really deserves it.
a) I know I shouldn’t care that much about this, as it was my own decision to resign. But even with disagreement with some related decisions, I believe the game deserves better. The mods deserves better.

The following is part of the Web Mod Program 2.0:

“There’s a spreadsheet mods are required to request access to with the ToS, some guidelines to follow, and a lot of great resources to help them do their job to the best of their ability”

“Upon induction into the program all mods are coached on a lot of situations, circumstances, actions and anything we can think of that can and will go wrong in World Chat. What we don’t cover that arises, mods are now expected to bring that to the 2.0 team to discuss.”

It may sounds basic, but back when I was still a mod there wasn’t any support. It was all up to the mod’s discretion and interpretation on the chat rules and ToS.

b) Judging from igwc activity and behavior in the chat. Supposed to have a black list too but I better keep it to myself :P .

Also trying to follow the "no more than 2 mods in a guild" of the web mod program when thinking of the list.(which is much better than the mobile mod)

I’m not gonna post my list here, but it has been emailed to the devs.
iii) tiny bug fix: “:/” Bug:
typing “mm :/ dw” à showing only “dw”
typing “mm :/” à “Cannot be blank”
iv) tiny bug fix: filter Filter system generated raid codes but not actual swearing words. Filter glasses but not glass. Etc.
v) tiny bug fix: self-silence Bug in theory, but doesn’t matter much. It is here since the addition of checking profile function.
vi) Allow muting certain player but not the raid they post. Daydreaming.


Guild
i) officers should be able to alert guild members when motd is changed Need to force lazy members to read motd!
ii) locking certain raids in war rooms Easier for management.
iii) showing a guild info page when clicking the guild name on the list, like web Easier to judge which guild to join.
iv) guild shop, guild level, camps, adventures
The later 2 not technically possible, how about guild shop? Give people more reason for a player guild.

Why I had suggested cooperative events and other guild modifications instead of guild wars:

  • with gataalli, keron, rag and vortex, players already seeking better guilds. Having a public wall like web and maybe guild lvl would already serve the purpose


  • this is a game more of cooperation. Multi guild raid shares, alliances etc.
  • Clear old inactive guilds.
  • Starting guild: up the lvl req, guild starter test, requiring items for starter and charter members.
To ensure the quality of player guilds.

According to this post of February 2016: Total number of guilds - 3,355
Approximate from the last 5 days wr hitter count +20% : Total number of active players ~ 4500

It is not a good sign. How many guilds are actually active? How many guilds a newbie have to jump before finding a good one?
Public guilds:
  • clearer motd and instructions
  • dont let them apply to other guilds without leaving/ don’t let them apply without leaving/ allow other guilds able to be accepted without leaving
  • reward of joining a player guild
  • auto boot after a certain level
(May 9 edition: thx for changing the MotD of a single public guild, but why not the rest? The modification wasn't bad.)

The intention of having public guilds as the stepping stone to player guild is good. HOWEVER, throughout the years of practice, it seems to be doing more harm instead.

  • Public guild players lack connection with the rest of the community


  • Public guilds failing to act as a stepping stone to player guilds. At the moment, public guild members can apply to player guilds on the list, but cannot be accepted till they leave the public guild. This results the applicant waiting forever, after sending hundreds of applications still getting nothing.


  • Lack information. No doubt that some experienced players would pop into public guilds occasionally to recruit, but only few would be able to get the help. Raids in public guilds are easy, it is difficult for them to notice what they are missing. I am not saying all player guilds have more and better information, but less chances for publics.


  • Lack raids. This limited the growth of the player, also the level of enjoyment of the game. With only 6 raids in war room, public guild's raids cycles fast. Get boring soon, also get broken soon. As those guilds lack information, their members may not be aware that some raids only available in player guilds. For the broken raids part, this year guild raids get locked easily. With the guild raid turnover in public guilds, they also get locked quicker than player guilds. Unfortunately with the lack of information they have no idea how to fix.
Allow public guild members change magics on guild raids Some recruiters know about magics but cannot help. Tiny raids but magic lessons can be taught anytime.

  • the pop-up msg of 'you have earned xxx ap' has an option directing to the ap page.
  • even nicer if the ap page is more organized. currently is really a mess. eg attack def ap in a page, perc ap few pages later.
QoL, and make it easier for new players to learn about ap.
New events:

New events are always good. No need for huge patches, but requires creativity and management. Community event in the recently closed game had a good example.

(i) Inspired from the way my guild leaders RED and Naug celebrating Tater’s IDS achievement. Changed name to Gratz_Tater and On_IDS respectively and stay together on leaderboard

(ii) and (iii) are from SunMo
Adding SOWW kind of mounts Atm easy mounts for newbies are less than 30% average proc increase. SOWW is a good example on web that allow players to get a decent mount easily with some grinding.
In game wall message push notification. Allow to disable if someone dont want it. The golden bubbles not always working, and this would make magic pm and recruiting more convenient
Citadel craft alert/push notification Forgot whose idea is it, but would make it convenient. Weeks to craft keys and vols are easily forgotten.

Appreciation and Conclusion


Like a year ago, during the quiet hours igwc, when the "Users Online" dropped below 110, Thorien and I were there talking about how to get the number up again – even further back, when the chat first released and the major bug fixed, the low was around 150. Now, April 2016, the lowest I've seen without bug or lag was 42.

It's tough not to worry about the future of DawnMo, but we still have hope.

I used my old mobile forum account to bug schnzy about communication since it was the only thing they can fix without a patch. I am glad that it's really improving now. Thanks a lot.

Lag have been there more frequent than before, and people gave up on even complaining. Further back, the incident that pissed most old-time players off was the banning mania which was handled poorly. The poor communication made the situation worse. But it seems that the dev’s communication skill has improved, and with the new staff, mobile forum is more active again.

I really appreciate Schnzy and Wally's effort on filling the mobile forums with hope recently, when the community was exhausted. The April SotG was the best one I have ever seen. I really appreciate the communication on mobile forums is not as one-sided as before anymore. Thank you Mimzy too, for your effort. I am also seeing devs in game wc more often now, keep the interactions! This is how 5pg games different from many other games.

We have the equipment data in the newer items’ description, that would make it easier for us to judge which one to use, also easier to teach newer players about PROCs. We have slightly modified WAR p2 loot posters that was more newbie-friendly. Effort on reducing lag shown in patch notes.

(May 9th edition)We had a new wr which is more balanced than many (tbh some pervious wr loot were jokes, those who could max only get a fodder, those who may find it useful could barely hit with the hp lost per hit and the amount of dmg need). This one was no longer health consuming, that is good for newer players. It was amazing especially with an op magic(vs specific raids) as loot at a fairly easy tier, plus a good free legion, freemium, troops available at low tier, nice for all players. It also had a more challenging 50T max and good loot(direct stat and freemium boost) for high end players. And it was such a nicely balanced 5 days wr, even with lag higher tiers were more doable. Thank you. Although lag was a game killer, this wr have been appreciated by many.

We had the "Accidental" release of Spire raid.
I don't play anymore so I'm not sure about the damage tier influence yet, nor the craft balance. But it's very nice to have a 30% average FREE magic against specific type. Nice free troops from the raid. And a decent legion it seems. It is still hp consuming but already better than vortex.

Before requesting the removal of my mobile forum account, I've requested a painkiller for DawnMo if a surgery was impossible. I am glad that at least we have the painkiller now.

Given that the previous vintage set bundles we got were 30/40/50pcs I believe that there might be a mistake with the price of this one. Maybe it should have been 60pcs?

Edit: Seems like it's not so vintage after all, It has a somewhat useful mount that could justify the price for some.

Chapter 7: lycanism and zombification


OKU and his forces passed threw the portal to the outskirts of the ember hills battlefield. The stars seemed strange to him being never in that part of the world. First he had his warriors set to rest before the day then went to the one star reader in his group. Ever sense he was declared a warmage and gaining his wargeneral stone threw his trials. He sat on other side of a dim fire to the star reader. She was chanting ancient words of ritual. She told him a week before encountering Zalex that he will meet defeat but find greater worth for it. She was the one that told him of battles against fellow lycans. Now it was the dawn of the greatest battle of his life. He hoped for a favorable prediction. The star reader stopped it's chant. “ Today is a day of challenges. You and your allies will be pushed past their brinks of ability. If you fail darkness and death will continue for a thousand years.” OKU had heard that much from BurstThia already. “ Well the battle today be favorable?” The star reader started her prayer chant again and near an hour of wait and he had his answer.

The battlefield was open and empty. OKU made his warriors into camps over the to be battlefield. Chatter could be heard from one camp to another. OKU could not help to also wonder where the moon was. His question answered when the day began. On the east and the west the sun and moon raised at the same time. Within hours where then they met the overlap turned red. Turning the sky to the color of human blood. OKU howled to signal the beginning. Getting his aphas and assassins ready for battle. In front of them was leathery bags of bones and festering flesh piles. Undead monsters. Something seemed a little odd to OKU as these were more organized to those that he has countered before. Their decayed moved first. The trained assassin struck quick when they got in range but the poison cloud was strong and vile. Near the same number of each side fell. OKU used a weak haste spell on one of his alphas and flanked the undead that just moved. The flank hit was not strong but effective from the smaller pack. Next was greymanders. Their ranged death magic had little effect on his lycan troops but some did not survive it either. The next pack to move struck was under another haste and struck the decayed again. Yet again another poison cloud. OKU saw some of the bones rise again after one of the skullcrusher's raised a scroll and it burnt from use. Then the deathmane moved with their whip they struck at range his assassins that were struck first from the decayed. They were well hurt when he used them to flank the decayed yet again and yet again poisonous fumes came from them and yet again they rerose as another scroll was used on them. OKU wondered the play as he sent his last group of alphas to the decayed yet again to hit it while he used another scroll of haste to get closer to the undead leader. The moment he readied to strike their bone clubs struck them pushing them back. He should have known it would not be that easy. “ I cast sacrifice. Take the life of mine to kill those that wish my death.” Suddenly the decayed exploded. Several of OKU units near it were either severely injured or dead. That was the play. It was effective. Crippling his army by half in one strike. Killing at least one full pack. OKU ordered his alphas to curse the greymander and deathmane right before each made their moves to strike weakened attack against OKU hurt forces. Exchange after exchange they went back and forth. As poison cloud magic and lycanism myst magic spread across the inferno of a battlefield each exchange from both sides became weaker as the fighting continued. Until it came down to the two commanders of the armies. “ I call upon bone fence. Let the dead bard and harm all's way.” Suddenly a bone graveyard appeared behind OKU. The skullcrusher blows knocked back his remanders of his army. OKU paused in the grave of death thinking of the words of the star reader. “ In the valley of death new life will be made and it will lead you to victory if only you are willing to sacrifice everything. “ I call Summon Assassin. Come forth another pack of my brethren. My sons and daughter come to me and let us gnaw on these annoying bones to our hearts content.”

Elite Slitherer Essence not boosting generals

I just crafted the Elite Slitherer Essence and wanted to see how much it would increase my legion power since it would boost both Shea Sharpclaw and The Sunken King. However I noticed that neither of the generals' stats were increased, even after reloading the game. The Sunken King is still at 1000/1000 for me so it's pretty obvious. I know that sometimes it takes a little bit for new essences to count towards boosts, but I figured I would check with you guys anyway. Thanks!

Helmsman (general + legion) Synergy

The Helmsman's Waterwalkers (HW) legion was released right at about the same time as the BotW3 legion. Numbers don't lie and for the majority (all?) of players BotW3 destroys it on the Aquatic camp. (It could however replace RGII as the general purpose campaign legion though, we shall see on that). At the moment, HW is almost 600k legion special less than BotW3*.

*At the moment, at least boost 2 for this legion doesn't seem to be working (thread, maybe only a visual bug. I do not have boost 1 yet either.

At the same time, the Helmsman general (HG) was released. Even boosted, he doesn't make it in a single legion I own (26th strongest when sorted by attack), many of which were easier to get to their current strength level (including The Reenlistment specialist, Armory, The Matriarch, Dah, etc). How about if the HG were treated just like Daneela (and many of the newer general/legion combos) and given him a %boost when in the HW legion. My hope would be that between this boost + the other 2 boosts, HW and HG would be worth using.

Yesterday i brought this up to Guster when he was on. due to the High crafting requirements of the e eur it wouldbe nice for devs to summon 1 a week or so to help with the crafting time and get the riad into the general public. it was done once on kong but on no other servers for some reason

For now, a qwill/dragon with a giant or goblin tag would be fun. as for communitty tiers, lets go for a few quad and 5t personal.

The bags for Spectral Purple Lion/Lioness items display only the corresponding Spectral Purple item while the other two items the bag contains are not displayed in the bag opening window. Opening the bag correctly awards all three items, so the bug is cosmetic.

mass use pots

I got thousands of defined giving energy/stam/honor pots... like lesser/greater... but I do not want to spend 4 hours to build up to 6k energy from 10 restoring lesser pots! can a mass use option be made like for all other consumables?

As you watch Bosso wander through his workshop, it occurs to you that he isn't as young as he once was. The mad gnome is aging, and as far as you're aware he has no heirs or family. As much chaos as his toys have caused, it makes you sad to think that his legacy might one day be lost.

"Who will you leave your workshop to when it's time to retire, Bosso?" you ask.

He snorts and tightens a bolt on a work in progress, something with dragonfly wings made of glass or crystal.

"Retire? That's for lesser craftsmen. When it's time, I'll just create a life-sized duplicate to store my soul in and carry on making my toys. There we are," he says, and gives the winged toy an affectionate pat.

You chuckle at the thought of a clockwork Bosso puttering about, creating new hazardous toys for all eternity.

But for once, Bosso isn't laughing.

New World Raid: The Orphan Drake!

The Dragon War left many orphans, and the lost eggs of the drakes hatched feral whelps. Isolated and often mad, this scattered generation of dragons slaughters for food instead of war.
This is a 120 hour, timed event, starting on Friday, May 13.
The Orphan Drake is categorized as Colossal, Dragon.

Fixes, Known Issues, & Updates
  • Update - If a tooltip would be truncated by the game screen, it should now begin displaying at the top of the screen (making everything legible).

Ancient hero proc bugged?

i have been trying to get preserved skull to drop while wearing 2x full ancient hero's set against bog bodies. tried killing 3 bog bodies separately with 1/5/20 hits and got 0 of any skull dropped.

This set worked fine sometime around the end of last year while i used it but not recently.

Could you check to see if the proc is bugged? thanks

Is it only me or is lag back again worse than ever?
Every loading of Raid List takes withouth lies about 30sec for me and everytime i switch to raid page there is loading.
Also each attack takes about 2-3sec.

It is really crazy.
